The EPOS Thematic Core Service "Volcano Observations" (EPOS IP Working Package 11) is going to have a two-day meeting at INGV in Rome next 7 and 8 September 2017. The face-to-face meeting mainly aims at discussing, and eventually solving, all the issues relevant to the EPOS validation process. The feed-back of the meeting will allow the WP11 to arrive better prepared for the October EPOS IP Validation Workshop. Indeed, the meeting is organised in sessions reflecting the areas reported in the ‘validation criteria’ document i.e. Technical, Legal& Governance, and Financial.
Aside, the main focus of the meeting, during the two days the revision of the internal structure of the work package and the planning and next actions of the dissemination and communication activities will be discussed. The proposal of the new structure aims at building the basis for a new organization of the community that might be exportable as internal structure of the ‘Volcano Observations’ TCS.
