On June 12, 2020 in Frontiers has been launched a new Research Topic in Earth Science: Basaltic Volcanism: From Magmatic Processes to Eruptive Styles (Impact Factor 2.892, CiteScore 2.74).
The editors are: R. A. Corsaro, A. Peltier, C. M. Petrone and A. J. Pietruszka.
This Research Topic aims to bridge the gap between magmatic processes and their surficial manifestation (i.e., eruption type and style) by investigating pre-eruptive magma dynamics and petrologic processes in the plumbing system of a basaltic volcano and, where possible, linking them to data acquired on the surface, mostly by means of monitoring networks”.
More information about the participation and the submission of Abstracts and the submission of Manuscripts in the public website here.
The Editors warmly encourage the participation to ths new Research Topic .
The main deadline are:
- Abstract Submission 25 August 2020
- Manuscript submission 25 December 2020
Keywords: basaltic volcanism, magmatic processes, eruptive styles, real-time monitoring, volcanic hazards
