The Group on Earth Observations (GEO), a voluntary partnership of governments and organizations will organize its thirteenth annual Plenary meeting (GEO-XIII) and Exhibition at the Park Inn by Radisson Pribaltiyskaya hotel in Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation from the 7th to 10th November 2016.
GEO member governments of 102 nations and the European Commission, and 103 Participating Organizations comprised of international bodies with a mandate in Earth observations will attend the GEO-XIII Plenary in St. Petersburg.
EPOS is one of the 103 Participating Organization in GEO and it is directly involved in task: Geo-hazards Supersites and National Laboratories (GSNL). EPOS represents a novel approach to create a regional federation for providing multidisciplinary services in solid earth, coordinating efforts with the long-term monitoring experiments in geologically active regions of europe prone to natural hazards.
Some EPOS dissemination materials will be showed at the Exhibition Area in the European Commission Stand that will be organized at the Blue Foyer Hall on the second floor of the hotel.
The main goal of the assempbly is to highlight the global collaboration, supporting communities in their efforts to help measure and monitor the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Global Agenda.
