EPOS is one of the new landmarks in the prestigious Portfolio of the ESFRI Roadmap.
EPOS was a project in the ESFRI Roadmap for a decade (2008 - 2018). During the 65th Plenary Forum Meeting in Corfu (Greece) on June 27th and 29th, ESFRI concluded a year-long process for updating its Roadmap by adopting all its parts, crucially featuring the list of Projects and Landmarks that will form the ESFRI ecosystem for the years to come. Now the ESFRI portfolio includes 37 Landmarks, 8 of which moving into this Portfolio from the previous Project list, and 6 new Projects out of 18 Projects in the new roadmap.
EPOS and the other new entry were selected for the excellence of their scientific case and their maturity in the implementation phase with the aim to reinforce critical areas of competitiveness for European research.
The ESFRI Roadmap 2018 will be officially presented to the public in a dedicated event in Vienna, during the Austrian Presidency, on the 11th of September 2018.
