Since 2005, the Italian Research Conference on Digital Libraries has served as an important national forum focused on digital libraries and related technical, practical, and social issues.
This year the 15th IRCDL conference will be organised at the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), Main Auditorium (Building 1) in Pisa (Italy) the 31st of January and the 1st of February 2019.
During the conference Prof. Davidson will give a Keynote titled “Citation in the Era of Big Data and Open Source Software” and there will be organised two workshops: VIPERC 2019 and OpenAIRE Workshop on Open Science Publishing Practices and Prospects.
The EPOS coordinator Massimo Cocco will attend the IRCDL conference and the OpenAIRE Workshop presenting the talk: Open science in Solid Earth Science: status and vision.
The workshop programs six presentations from major experts in the field, who will expose what they believe to be the major challenges raised by Open Science today in the way research products are published, shared, and accessed in support of scholarly communication and publishing workflows.
More information about the conference can be found at the IRCDL website.
