EPOS @ European Open Science Cloud for Research (EOSC) Workshop

The European Open Science Cloud for Research (EOSC), after a first workshop in Bari in November 2015, organised a second one in Rome on the 5th February 2016. EPOS IP coordinator, Massimo Cocco, together with many other researchers, e-Infrastructures coordinators, national and international service providers, attended and actively participated in this discussion.

EPOS IP WP09 Kick off meeting

On January 18-20, 2016 the EPOS IP Work Package 9 Near-Fault Observatories (NFOs) organized its kick off meeting in Athens. During the meeting, dedicated sessions have been devoted to discuss the WP main objectives and its future plans, but also the internal and external communication. During the meeting clearly surfaced the importance of using common EPOS e-tools and a shared communication plan.

EPOS IP WP 6&7 Team Meeting

The EPOS IP IT team (Work Packages 6 and 7) after a first web conference meeting in December (Wednesday, December 2 2015), organized a face to face meeting in Keyworth hosted by the British Geological Survey on January 21st and 22nd, 2016.

PDB meeting in London

The PDB met for the 2nd time in London (UK) at the Medical Research Council on the 15th and the 16th of December, 2015.

EPOS IP WP 6&7 Team Meeting in Keyworth

The EPOS IP IT team (work packages 6 and 7, WP6-WP7) after a first web conference meeting in December (Wednesday, December 2 2015), organized a face to face meeting in Keyworth at British Geological Survey on January 21st and 22nd, 2016.

Coordinator position at Utrecht University in the framework of EPOS-IP, Work package (WP) 16

The Utrecht University opened one position for a project coordinator with a background in data management in Earth science, to implement a key component of EPOS, Work package 16. The position is initially for 2 years. Deadline 31/01/2016.

IP project Kick-off meeting

We are pleased to announce that the EPOS Implementation Phase (IP) project begins on 1st October 2015 and will run for 4 years.

The kick-off meeting (5-7 October 2015) marks the official start of collaboration, when the 46 beneficiaries and associate partners will come together in Rome at Villa Eur hotel within the EPOS IP framework.
