EPOS WP 15 meeting in Dublin - 20-21 June 2016

On June 20 - 21, 2016, WP15 (EPOS-TCS Geological information and modelling) held a meeting in Dublin, parallel to the OGC/Technical Committee.

WP15 members reviewed various overarching topics: legal, governance and financial issues, cross TC harmonization, links between EGDI and EPOS initiatives.

EPOS @ VRE4EIC meeting in Delft, Netherlands

EPOS is participating to the Europe-wide Interoperable Virtual Research Environment to Empower Multidisciplinary Research Communities and Accelerate Innovation and Collaboration project (VRE4EIC) meeting holds in Delft, Netherlands the 14th and 15th June 2016.

EPOS @ CRIS2016 conference

The 13th International Conference on Current Research Information Systems (CRIS2016) : Communicating and measuring research responsibly: profiling, metrics, impact, interoperability will be held in the ancient Scottish city of St Andrews under the patronage of the University of St Andrews, UK, from 8th to  the 11th June, 2016. A member of the EPOS IT team (WP6-7) will attend the meeting presenting a paper titled: Mapping solid earth Data and Research Infrastructures to CERIF

EPOS IP fifth Project Development Board meeting in Potsdam

The EPOS-IP Project Development Board members for 3 days (May 30 – 31 and June 1 2016) meet at the GFZ headquarters of Potsdam in Germany to discuss and  elaborate a common understanding of the EPOS architecture from technical, legal & governance, and financial point of view. 

A delegation of National Contact Points for the EU Horizon 2020 Framework Programme for R&I - SC5 @ the INGV in Rome

Today, 26th May 2016 a delegation of National Contact Points "NCPs" for the EU Horizon 2020 research and innovation framework programme , part of the Societal Challenge SC5: 'Climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials' is visiting the INGV headquarters in Rome.

EPOS WP6 & WP7 IT team meeting just ended in Bergen

The WP6 & WP7 IT team last 23-25 May 2016 met at the Department of Earth Science of the University of Bergen to discuss on EPOS IP Requirements and Use Cases (RUC) and on WP6 & WP7 future actions. The next IT-team meeting probably will be held during the IPC meeting in October. More details will be communicated accordingly.

How to use the EPOS intranet: 2nd online training for general users

The second EPOS online webinar on EPOS intranet, organized by the EPOS PMO for general users, has been postponed on May the 19th at 15.00 CEST.

Temporary Position Opened at Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia, in relation to EPOS IP Project

The Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia, invites applications for ONE temporary position in computer science and information technology spanning over 1 year (renewable up to 3 years). 

The position is open for: Engineers, Computer Scientists, Mathematicians, Phisicists.

Online trainings to learn how to use the EPOS intranet

The EPOS PMO organized an online webinar for all EPOS partners to learn how to use the various features of the EPOS intranet. The first e-training by Nicholas Ferguson (COMMPLA company) will be on April 27 2016 at 15.00 CET for WP leaders. 

A second training for all EPOS users will be organized on May 4th 2016 and the registration will be open the 28th April 2016.
