COMET will be routinely processing EU Copernicus Sentinel-1 interferograms over tectonic and volcanic areas and making these available through EPOS.
Interferograms (wrapped and unwrapped), coherence images, deformation time series and average velocities will be made available. Preliminary results can be found at and downloaded from http://comet.nerc.ac.uk/COMET-LiCS-portal/. Ultimately, the aim is to produce a high-resolution map of tectonic strain for the continents that combines information from InSAR and GNSS (GPS). This work is primarily funded through the UK Natural Environment Research Council, through the Centre for the Observation and Modelling of Earthquakes, Volcanoes and Tectonics (COMET) and through large grants “Looking inside the continents from Space” and “Earthquakes without Frontiers”.
