The TCS Satellite Data is organized in National Research Infrastructures that provide advanced and mature Earth Observation (EO) products and services to be used in several application scenarios related to Solid Earth Sciences.
Six institutions (CNR, CNRS, CSIC, GFZ, INGV, University of Leeds) from five different countries (Italy, France, Spain, Germany and UK) are partners of the TCS.
The TCS Satellite Data is led by CNR - National Research Council of Italy, Institute for Electromagnetic Sensing of the Environment - in collaboration with: INGV (Istituto Nazionale di Vulcanologia, Italy), CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, France), GFZ (German Research Centre for Geosciences, Germany), CSIC (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, Spain), University of Leeds (United Kingdom). The work is carried out in partnership with the data providers, above all ESA (European Space Agency) and CNES (Centre national d'études spatiales, France).
The TCS partnership is working to have a common interface to access the TCS products and services. Moreover, the success of this TCS is strongly dependent from the establishment of a proper legal framework for the interaction and coordination with the satellite data providers.
