NEW DATE: EPOS Multi-scale laboratories meeting, Barcelona, 21st-23rd November 2018

The EPOS Multi-scale laboratories community will meet in Barcelona on November 21st-23rd, 2018, to discuss the outcomes of the TCS services validation process, the EPOS IP 3rd annual meeting, and the 2019 work plan.

EPOS Multi-scale laboratories meeting in Barcelona postponed to a later date in 2018

The TCS Multi-scale laboratories coordination team has decided to postpone the next EPOS Multi-scale laboratories community meeting (WP16 meeting), which was previously set for 4-6 October 2018 in Barcelona, to a later date in 2018.

More information on the new dates and venues, and the program will be soon circulated.

The EPOS Multi-scale laboratories community will meet in Barcelona on October 4th-6th, 2018, to discuss the outcomes of the TCS services validation process and the 2019 work plan.

3rd TCS Multi-scale laboratories Consortium Board meeting, 5th March 2018

The members of the TCS Multi-scale laboratories will meet in a web-conference on March 5th, 2018 to review the developments of the laboratories services and address open issues in view of the EPOS Validation workshop.

Twenty-three TNA projects selected for access to the TCS Multi-scale laboratories facilities

The Thematic Core Service (TCS) Multi-scale laboratories (MSL) 2ndTNA pilot Call was a great success with 28 applications submitted for access to 13 solid Earth laboratory facilities across Europe.

TCS Multi-scale laboratories presented @Swiss Geoscience Meeting, Davos

EPOS Multi-scale laboratories was presented at the "15th Swiss Geoscience Meeting 2017" organized by the WSL-Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research SLF and the Platform Geosciences of the Swiss Academy of Science in Davos (Switzerland).

Alba Zappone (ETH Zurich) presented the poster "The Swiss participation to a network of solid Earth Multi-scale Laboratories: EPOS MSL", in the session Structural geology, Tectonics & Geodynamics.

Transnational Access to the TCS Multi-scale laboratories facilities: 2nd call for proposals now open!

TCS Multi-scale laboratories facilities are accessible to researchers and research teams across Europe, creating new opportunities for synergy, collaboration and innovation, in a framework of trans-national access rules. Researchers and research teams have the opportunity to present project proposals and be selected to perform experiments at key EPOS Multi-scale laboratory centres.

The EPOS Multi-scale laboratories community will meet on the 23rd and 24th October 2017 in Rome, Italy.

The meeting will be the occasion to reflect on the status of the project after two years of EPOS Implementation Phase.

EPOS and the TCS Multi-scale laboratories catalog will be presented at the user groups event about open (governmental) data, organised by the Dutch Ministry of National Affairs.

Special topic of this event is the usage of DCAT in the European context of open data exchange.

EPOS Multi-scale laboratories will be presented at the "Workshop on stable isotopes: What are they for?" organized by the Institute of Geosciences and Earth Resources (IGG) of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR).

Alberto Zanetti (CNR-IGG, Pavia, Italy) will present the EPOS Multi-scale laboratories, with focus on the latest development on geochemistry related metadata, during the session "Multidisciplinarity and stable isotopes: How to build the scientific databases of the future".

EPOS-WP16 Multi-scale laboratories splinter meeting @EGU2017

The WP16 meeting will be the occasion to summarize and discuss the developments and achievements of the EPOS TCS Multi-scale laboratories after 1,5 years of EPOS-IP.

The coordination team and task leaders will update the community on legal, financial, services status and on the next steps to be taken towards a successful service implementation.
